Supporting Lone Soldiers in the Western Galilee

by Sivan Friedman Lavi - Lone Soldiers coordinator

At the heart of our region lies a group of remarkable individuals: the Lone Soldiers. These brave men and women leave their homes, families, and comfort zones to serve their country with unwavering dedication. We at Partnership have come together to support these soldiers, ensuring they feel valued, connected, and cared for.

Over the past year, generous contributions from our partners in Omaha and Toledo have made a tangible difference in the lives of Lone Soldiers in Akko and Matte Asher. Let’s take a closer look at the initiatives we’ve supported:

  1. Regba’s ‘Garin Zabar’ enjoyed special activities on their Shabbat Garin.

  2. We provided each soldier with a 500 NIS voucher for Rosh HaShana, allowing them to celebrate the holiday with joy and comfort.

  3. we purchased 10,000 NIS worth of equipment for Kfar Masarik’s ‘Garin Zabar’ New Building. From chairs and tables to microwaves and toasters, we aimed to create a welcoming environment where these soldiers could feel at home.

  4. We distributed personal 500 NIS vouchers to Lone Soldiers in Akko during Hanukkah, brightening their celebrations.

  5. Honoring San Antonio Partnership Soldiers: Three Lone Soldiers from our partnership community of San Antonio, who joined the War effort after October 7th, received a 300 NIS personal voucher as a token of our appreciation and support.

Our journey doesn’t end here. We remain steadfast in our commitment to these courageous individuals. Whether it’s a warm meal, a heartfelt letter, or a simple gesture of kindness, every act of support matters. Together, we can make a lasting impact and ensure that no Lone Soldier feels alone on their journey.

To all our supporters, partners, and volunteers, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your compassion and generosity have touched lives and created bonds that transcend borders. As we move forward, let’s continue to stand by our Lone Soldiers, honoring their sacrifice and resilience.
