Sigalit Segev Egozi served as the director of the Akko Community Center for 17 years, leading diverse programs and strengthening community life throughout the city.Following the events of October 7 — while two of her sons were fighting in Gaza in elite IDF units — Sigalit made the courageous decision to leave her longtime position and channel her energy into something deeply personal and healing.
She launched a vibrant Instagram and Facebook food page, sharing recipes interwoven with her powerful life story, family journey, and the unique flavors of the Western Galilee. Her warm personality, authenticity, and culinary creativity quickly attracted a devoted following.
Today, Sigalit has just published her first cookbook, bringing together her recipes, memories, and the resilience that defines her and her family.
