Hungarian Partnership volunteer, Dr. Judit Benda, has offered the opportunity for a small group participants to take part in a cooking workshop at the end of the Summit.
The workshop will take place in her house in the suburbs of Budapest on Thursday 15th September after the Summit has ended (4pm-8.30pm).
We will provide transport to and from the hotel.
There will be an additional fee of $50 per person. A credit card payment form will be sent after sign up. The maximum number Judit can accept is 19 participants and registration will be on a first come first serve basis.
Together with Judit, participants will be cooking a traditional Hungarian Jewish meal. Please fill in the form once for each participant. Details from Judit about the workshop: Program: My Jewish Kitchen On the menu: Barchesz, Polish eggs and Cholent (non-kosher, kosher style) Jewish kitchen looks a bit different everywhere. We are going to talk about how Jewish kitchen looks like in your families and in my family in Budapest. We will prepare wholemeal flour barchesz (chala), and Polish eggs, and finish with my cholent, in the way how we ate it in my family from Budapest. Because my gastro studio is a cooking school it is all about health, everything is made in the healthy version. The barchesz is made from wholemeal flour and organic ingredients, and the Polish eggs and the cholent are also made from whole, organic ingredients. And of course, at the end of the day, we will have our self-prepared dinner together. You can find more about me and the cooking school here: www.drjuditbenda.com
