Why, then, do we cleanse ourselves with hollow pretexts shifting full responsibility to the younger generation for their supposed refusal to accept our teachings. To what extent can we really blame the younger generation for not listening to us? Are their malevolent inclinations any worse than the standard in previous generations, which were characterized by the vast majority maintaining the Torah tradition. No doubt, parents are teachers in previous generations were more devout than us, and were much more zealous in educating the younger generation. They would not sit idly when confronted by a younger generation slipping away from tradition; they stood up with vigor to educate in the path of the Almighty, making use of every modus operandi in their arsenal.
