The Baal Shem Tov and his disciples stressed that there is no such thing as a Jewish child with absolutely negative traits; it is we who need to know how to cultivate children who may appear as such. For example, a teacher who suffers from an exceptionally stubborn pupil should realize that when the child grows up and takes on a Torah-oriented lifestyle the child will then apply the stubbornness and devotion to his day-to-day Torah way of life; this grown up child will not easily be swayed from the proper path and will be rock-strong in his observance.
