The Jewish Agency presented scholarships to 1,600 students at Sapir College, situated in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council adjacent to Sderot.

Unfazed by the Kassam Rockets which fell in the area during the ceremony, Jewish Agency Chairman Zeev Bielski surprised the crowd when he started strumming a guitar.

Also taking part in the ceremony were Rany Trainin, Chair of the Jewish Agency Board of Governors Israel Committee, and Ze'ev Tzahor, President of Sapir College.
